In this *Tips & Tricks* session, **María Vives** (Digital Media Specialist) walked us through the value of **Overview Videos**, a powerful (and optional) feature that helps agents better understand the purpose of a simulation before diving in. These short videos (ideally under 2 minutes) can improve user engagement, reduce confusion, and make your Sym experience even more impactful, especially for new hires, role transitions, and platform walkthroughs.

### **Key Takeaways**

- **When to Use Them**: Use overview videos for: simulation or company introductions, role onboarding or team intros, screening simulations, new hire orientation, training plan/module overviews, platform walkthroughs, scoring expectations, and more.
- **Recommended Structure**: Every overview video should include: *Welcome to the simulation*, *What you’ll learn/do*, *Tips for succes*s, and *What comes next*.
- **Best Practices**: Keep it under 2 minutes (max 5), script before recording, use a friendly & supportive tone, be clear and instructional, brand your content for consistency, and repurpose across similar Syms (e.g., beginner → advanced).
- **Easy Creation Tips**: Use **Canva** with a 16:9 layout to create clean, engaging videos with 3–5 short slides, text + visuals or screen recordings, voiceover (recorded or AI-generated), background music (optional).
- **Technical Details**: Max file size: **500MB**, export as **MP4**, compress video if needed using online tools, upload and assign it as the *Overview Video* in SymTrain.
